Competition and Disputes Resolution Policy

This policy sets out the process to be followed and reporting arrangements in the event that a provider or potential provider of services disputes the procurement/contracting/ commissioning or related decision-making decisions.

Complaints, Concerns and Patient Feedback Policy

The purpose of this policy is to describe the systems in place to effectively manage all complaints and concerns by the organisation in accordance with NHS complaints regulations. It outlines the responsibilities and processes for receiving, handling, investigating and resolving complaints and concerns relating to the actions of the ICB, its staff and services.

Continuing Healthcare and Funded Nursing Care Operational Policy

This policy details the process for referring, assessing, and agreeing eligibility for NHS continuing healthcare (CHC) and for providing that care, whilst ensuring consistency with national requirements along with providing robust and timely responses. It also ensures that teams are working in accordance with Framework requirements while developing and maintaining close working relationships with NHS Provider Trusts and colleagues in Hertfordshire and Essex County Councils.

Counter Fraud, Bribery and Corruption Policy

This policy aims to explain how NHS Hertfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care Board (ICB) intends to tackle economic crime following the NHS Counter Fraud Authority (NHSCFA) Strategy guidelines. It provides guidance and ensures employees are able to recognise economic crime and understand the correct reporting requirements.

Fire Safety Policy

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 together with the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, and other associated fire safety legislation, impose duties on all employers in respect of fire safety at work. These duties extend to the Herts and West Essex (HWE) Integrated Care Board (ICB), its staff and visitors. As the employer, the HWE ICB has formulated a Fire Safety Policy to include these duties.

Fit and Proper Person Test Policy

The Fit and Proper Persons Regulations (FPPR) were introduced in response to concerns raised following investigations into Mid Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust and Winterbourne View Hospital.

GP Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence Policy Toolkit

This policy toolkit has been designed to enable GP practices to implement their own comprehensive domestic abuse and sexual violence policy, covering both staff and patients affected by domestic abuse and/or sexual violence.

HBL ICT registration authority policy

This document lays out the RA Policy requirements that HBL ICT Services Registration Authority adheres to. It is based on the National Registration Authority Policy v2.4. This ensures that patients are confident that their medical records are kept safe, secure and confidential in line with The Care Record Guarantee for England.

Health and Safety Policy

NHS Herts and West Essex Integrated Care Board (referred to as the ICB) is fully committed to protecting the health, safety and welfare of its employees, contractors, partners, visitors and members of the public as a matter of prime importance and will comply with their statutory obligations as far as reasonably practicable under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974. This policy outlines the duties of the ICB in respect of health and safety, but also the legal obligations that these acts place upon every member of staff.
