Continuing healthcare (CHC) for adults
Some people aged 18 and over with long-term complex physical or mental health needs qualify for care arranged and funded solely by the NHS. This is known as NHS continuing healthcare.

Children and Young People’s Continuing Care
Children and young people with complex healthcare needs may qualify for free health care, arranged and paid for by the NHS. This is known as Children and Young People’s Continuing Care and they can get it until they become 18.
