    Research, innovation and evaluation are key parts of our work. They help us: meet the needs of our residents; improve patient care, outcomes and experience; and tackle the challenges faced by our health and social care system.

  • Developing a new surgical centre to cut waiting times

    The local NHS is developing the Hertfordshire and West Essex Surgical Centre at St Albans City Hospital to provide faster access to some routine operations for patients across our area.
