NHS Hertfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care Board (HWE ICB) is committed to openness and transparency and conducts as much of its business as possible in a session that members of the public are welcome to attend and observe.
There are two meetings held in public: ICB Board and Primary Care Transformation Committee.
NHS HWE ICB Board meeting
The Hertfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care Board meets in public every other month, is decision making and consists of ICB Board members and the ICB Executive Team.
NHS HWE ICB Primary Care Transformation Committee
NHS Hertfordshire and West Essex ICB Primary Care Transformation Committee meeting is held in public every other month. As a sub-committee of the ICB Board it has delegated duties specific to Primary Care and General Practice, making recommendations and reporting directly to the ICB Board.

At the meeting you will hear from our Chief Executive Officer Dr Jane Halpin, who will look back at the hard work, developments and challenges over the last year. She will then look ahead to the priorities for the ICB for the rest of 2024 and 2025. We will also present our accounts for the year at this meeting.

Attending a meeting
If you wish to attend a meeting, please email by 4pm the day before the meeting and inform us on any specific requirements you may require.
Asking a question
While our meetings in public at which people can join and observe, it is not a public meeting. This means that members of the public don’t take part in the discussions but may be allowed to ask questions at the discretion of the Chair.
We welcome members of the public to submit their questions ahead of the meetings. Send your question via email four days prior to the meeting. Any questions received after this date will be tabled for the next meeting.
