Our Board is the senior decision making forum for the ICB and is collectively accountable for the performance of the ICB’s functions.
In response to the national requirement to streamline ICBs across England, the six ICBs in the East of England put forward plans to NHS England in May 2025 to work collaboratively and form three new larger ICBs from April 2026. ICBs across the region are starting to come together under shared Chairs, Chief Executives and executive teams in preparation for that move.

Integrated Care Board meetings in public
Hertfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care Board is committed to open and transparent decision-making. We hold formal business meetings in a public session that people can attend and observe. There are two regular meetings held in public: ICB Board and Primary Care Transformation Committee; and our yearly Annual General Meeting.
