Matthew has been appointed Chief Executive of West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust since July 2022 after three decades in a range of senior roles in the NHS and the Civil Service.
He is an experienced leader with a track record of leading change, most recently in the Cabinet Office and the Ministry of Justice. His civil service career has seen him manage a range of high-profile projects, all with huge budgets and vast complexities.
