Kate moved into the charitable sector in 2009 after being appointed as CEO of Uttlesford Citizens Advice. She is passionate about the growing movement for a ‘Whole Systems Approach’ to health and community care and ‘person-centred support’. With a degree in Systems Science she advocates for tools and processes that actively support the transparent use and recognition of the voluntary/community sector in referral pathways across local health and care.
Kate is active on the Socio-Economic work stream which looks at health inequalities across West Essex; she is also the Vice Chair of Uttlesford Health and Wellbeing Board. She is a director of the non profit company ‘Frontline Referrals’ (owned and controlled by Uttlesford Citizens Advice) – a community based multi-agency referral platform that is used across West Essex, Northumberland and East Herts and Broxbourne.
Kate is passionate about improving the access to information and support and has particular interests in information assurance practices, data sharing, system design, transport, neuro-diversity, personal budgets and continuing health care.
