Tony Kingsbury is Hertfordshire County Council’s cabinet member for Adult Care, Health and Wellbeing as well as Leader of Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council. A near lifelong resident of the county, he worked until recently as an electronics engineer for a large defence company.
Tony has served as a councillor and cabinet member for over a decade at Welwyn Hatfield and has been an HCC councillor since 2021 and cabinet member from 2022. He became a member of Hertfordshire’s Health and Wellbeing Board in 2019 as a borough/district representative. Whilst his professional background was focussed elsewhere, as a councillor and cabinet member, Tony sees the County as a vital partner in care, health and wellbeing to help ensure the best support for all our residents and communities.
Tony hopes to get back to travelling more often after the pause over the last 2 years but enjoys walking and catching up with friends.
