As of 1 April 2026 the Hertfordshire and West Essex ICB has been dissolved. Two new organisations are now responsible for planning and overseeing NHS services for local people.
Hertfordshire has joined a new single organisation serving 3.5 million people across Bedfordshire, Luton, Milton Keynes, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire & Peterborough called NHS Central East Integrated Care Board (ICB) and west Essex has joined a new Essex ICB.
This change relates only to how the ICB is organised and governed. It does not affect where you currently receive your healthcare or where you go for appointments.
