Dr Jane Halpin, Chief Executive of Hertfordshire and West Essex ICB, said:
“This site has been designed to get people the information and advice they need quickly and easily. As well as linking people to the most up-to-date advice on frequently used services, like pharmacies, NHS 111 and urgent treatment centres, it will also help people to find specialist services. There is information for carers, veterans, parents of young children, and people with long term conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure.
“For anyone wanting to get involved in shaping and improving local services, there are links to decision-making meetings, consultations, and volunteering opportunities too.”
A key feature of the website is the ‘Your area’ section, which enables people to find out about the wealth of services available in their local district or borough council area.
This site replaces two former websites, bringing together information previously found on the websites of the Integrated Care Board (NHS statutory organisation) and the Integrated Care system (a wider partnership including NHS, local government and local voluntary sector organisations).
Visitors to the old websites will be automatically re-directed to this site.
