Type of research
Research to support the strategy used a variety of methods to learn from the people and communities in Hertfordshire and west Essex, including drawing on existing insight about the needs and experiences of those living and working in our area, and working with partner organisations that have close links to them.
The approach included:
- analysing existing insight through a literature review of surveys and studies
- conducting targeted focus groups for people living with poverty; inclusion health groups; people from black and minority ethnic backgrounds; and parents, children and young people.
- surveying the health and care workforce and voluntary sector
- holding system wide meetings to gather input from partner organisations.
Additional information
The focus groups, workforce and voluntary sector survey and they system-wide meetings sought views on the emerging priorities in the Integrated Health and Care Strategy. Their input helped shape the final strategy and delivery plan.
