Priorities
We will support people to be physically active, eat healthily and maintain a healthy weight, and we will provide support and advice to prevent tobacco, alcohol, and substance misuse. We will take an all-age approach to improving healthy behaviours, to provide opportunities for Hertfordshire and west Essex residents to live healthy and fulfilling lives, reducing the risk of illness in later life aligning with our Health and Wellbeing strategies. We will seek to achieve the following outcomes:

As a resident:
- I can take care of my own health and wellbeing
- I know how to live a healthy life
- I feel supported by my community and local services to stay healthy
- I feel supported by my community and local services to change my behaviour for the better

- I feel I do not drink too much alcohol
Potential key performance measures
- Indicator 1 – Visitor metrics to key relevant health and wellbeing websites.
- Indicator 2 – Number of children and adults accessing weight management services (Tiers 2 and 3 HCC/ICB commissioned/digital).
- Indicator 3 – Number of individuals accessing drug and alcohol services for support.
- Indicator 4 – Number of individuals accessing stop smoking services.
- Indicator 5 – Number of individuals accessing community exercises.
- Indicator 6 – % rate of smoking prevalence, including inequality focus.
- Indicator 7 – Proportion of children and adults who are overweight/obese, including inequality focus.
- Indicator 8 – Proportion of alcohol and drug-related admissions and mortality, including inequality focus.
