Hertfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care Board (ICB) has released new videos to show how local parents are helping improve maternity and neonatal care in our area.
The videos features the work of three local groups: West Essex, West Hertfordshire, and Lister Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnerships (MNVPs). These groups bring together parents, midwives, doctors, and community organisations to make sure families’ voices are heard when it comes to pregnancy, birth, and baby care.
What makes these groups special is that they’re led by people who’ve recently used local maternity services themselves. They collect feedback from families, work with hospitals to make changes, and help make sure services are better for everyone.
“We’re here to listen to every family and every voice. It’s really important that people who use these services every day get a say in how they’re run. These videos are a great way to show families what we do and how they can get involved.”
The videos will be shared at local events, on social media, and in hospitals. It’s a chance for parents to see how they can help shape the care they and their babies receive.
